When I Win the Lottery

Wow it would be great if I was to win the lottery, I would buy this, and I would buy that and most of all I would live a dream life. Would you believe that most people who play the lottery have these dreams?
I am not knocking their dreams, but what I am saying is that if the lottery is the only thing that they are counting on in order for things to be better in their lives they may be setting their selves up for a major disappointment. Yes I know someone wins it, and yes you can’t win it if you don’t play. Do you know there are individuals that put hundreds of dollars in the lottery each week? I am talking about just single individuals.
I know you would say that you would never do that, but 5, 10, or 20 dollars is not that much. Now if you take those amounts and multiply them by 52 weeks in a year, you would have 260, 520, and 1,040 dollars by the end of a year. I know that those amounts don’t come close to the millions that you would have if you was to win the lottery but those small amount would be better then a bunch of worthless pieces of paper that you have be accumulating over the year.
Do you know why lottery jackpots get so large in short periods of time? It is because million of people weekly put their small amounts of money in on this same dream. I am not telling you stop playing the lottery but what I am saying is don’t let it be your life only hopes and dreams.

Failure a Choice Not Taken

The below article is from a news letter that I read today and I found it to be motivational to me and hope that it can be the same for you.
Chances are you've read about all of the following failures who ended up making a great impact in their chosen field of endeavor.
For example, as a young man Abraham Lincoln went to war as a captain and returned as a private. Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was 4-years-old and didn't read until he was 7. Louis Pasteur was only a mediocre pupil in undergraduate studies and ranked 15th out of 22 students in chemistry.
Henry Ford failed and went broke five times before he succeeded. F. W. Woolworth was not allowed to wait on customers when he worked in a dry goods store. When Bell telephone was struggling to get started, its owners offered all their rights to Western Union for $100,000. The offer was disdainfully rejected with the pronouncement, "What use could this company make of an electrical toy."
An expert said of Vince Lombardi: "He possesses minimal football knowledge and lacks motivation." Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. Babe Ruth is famous for his past home-run record, but for decades he also held the record for strikeouts.Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." Charles Schultz of "Peanuts" fame had every cartoon he submitted rejected by his high school yearbook staff—and Walt Disney wouldn't hire him. After his first audition, Sidney Poitier was told by the casting director, "Why don't you stop wasting people's time and go out and become a dishwasher or something?" When Lucille Ball began studying to be actress in 1927, she was told by the head instructor of the John Murray Anderson Drama School, "Try any other profession.

Gloom and Doom

What type of people do you mostly socialize with? Are they the supportive, positive, upbeat, and helpful type? Or are they the gloom and doom type? These are the type that no matter what the situation is, they make it a whole lot worse, they can’t find good in anything. If the majority of your circle of friends fall into this group, that’s fine if you don’t want to accomplish much in life. But on the other hand if you are the type of individual that would like to live a fuller and more exciting life you are going to need let go of those gloom and doom friends. These individuals have an ability like some form of magic to over shadow your ambitions and goals for yourself. So start to recognize them and remove them from your circle, I know that this may sound cruel but your success depends on it.
